Meet the Coach - JIMMY KEMMIS
This is my second year as the head coach of the varsity football team. I have been a football coach here at Linfield for the past 6 years at the Middle School, High School JV team and Varsity Special Teams. Prior to that, I coached in Pasadena for five years.
- This year, my main focus is teamwork! I want these guys to truly believe that they are part of something bigger than themselves. I want them to understand the value of putting in hard work and believing that it will payoff under the lights!
- This year’s goals for the team:
- Buy into the program. We’re not going to do everything the same way as last year, but we will definitely have the same desire to give it our all and play to win each week.
- Win the league championship.
- Compete for CIF and to have success in the playoffs.
- Unite as a team.
- Most importantly, honor God in all that we do.
I am so excited to be here at Linfield and to have the opportunity to come back to my alma mater where I competed on the gridiron. We have a great bunch of student-athletes this year and I’m just so excited that I (and my coaching staff) have the opportunity to coach them–not just in football, but in the issues of life as well. |
