Lion Baseball Philosophy
In the Linfield baseball program, we strive to use the whole gift God has provided. We offer "100 praise" with our head, heart, and hands by serving each other using the talents He has given! We believe victory is a natural consequence of being faithful on the journey to excellence. The team verse for 2008 is: “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” Proverbs 27:17

Welcome to Lion Baseball. Spring 2008 will mark the fifth season I’ve been blessed to coach at Linfield Christian School. Baseball has been a part of my life for over 42 years and I have found God’s design in many of the life and character building lessons of team baseball.

My playing experience was at California State University, Fullerton with the ’75 –’78 Titans. Prior to LCS, I coached high school 6 years at Clarinda Academy and 10 years with the NBC Collegiate Clarinda Iowa A’s. It is an honor to have played with and coached several players who have made their careers in professional baseball.

I have a BS degree from CSUF and an MA from Bellevue University, Nebraska. I maintain Certified Athletic Administrator (CAA) status through the NIAAA and serve as a CIF Coaching Certification Instructor.

It is a privilege to share the experience of young people through sport. It is awesome to see players mature in spirit and ability while witnessing them pure in their wildness. Guiding youthful energy through the trials of refining Godly character is a great journey shared by all coaches at Linfield Christian. We teach team above self and God above all.
