Meet the Coach - JEFF NICHOLS
Welcome to Lion Baseball. Spring 2012 will be the ninth season I’ve been blessed to coach at Linfield Christian School. Baseball’s greatest gifts are the friendships that are built as we learn to play the game together. I see God’s design in the life and character building lessons of team baseball.

Prior to Linfield, I coached for the NBC summer collegiate nationally ranked Clarinda Iowa A’s and at a high school in Iowa. I played in college on the ‘75 –’78 Cal State Fullerton Titans and was fortunate to be part of four conference championships and a trip to the College World Series under coach Augie Garrido. My goal as a coach is to provide a team baseball experience that helps players know God and acquire skills to challenge college baseball.

I earned a BS degree from CSUF and MA from Bellevue University, Nebraska. Through NIAAA, I maintain Certified Athletic Administrator (CAA) status. I serve CIF as a Coaching Certification Instructor and on the Baseball Advisory Committee.

It is a privilege to share the experience of young people through sport. I enjoy seeing players mature in spirit and ability while witnessing them pure in their wildness. Guiding youthful athletic energy through the trials of refining Godly character is a great ministry Linfield Christian. We teach team above self and God above all.
