Meet the Coach - BECKY NESS
This is my second year as the head tennis coach at Linfield Christian. For the past several years, I have been playing locally at the USTA Tennis Team 4.0 Level. Most recently (2006 and 2004), I won the Women’s Doubles Championships at the Canyon Lake Tennis Club.

My goal for the girls this year is for each of them to improve their tennis skills and technique, as well as to learn how to best work together as a team. I always strive to focus on what the girls do well and build up from there. Additionally, I expect each girl to display, on and off the court, a Christ-like character in winning and in losing. “Have fun and show good sportsmanship!”

My goal for the team this year is to take first place in league! It is a tough goal for us to accomplish, but we certainly have the talent, from top to bottom, to challenge for the top spot this year. I believe that in order to accomplish first place, each girl must strive to be committed not only to the team, but to integrity, perseverance and leadership.

What I enjoy most about coaching here at Linfield is the ability to work with a great bunch of student-athletes. I enjoy sharing my personal excitement and knowledge about the game of tennis and encouraging them to help each other out, no matter what their individual skill level may be.

The most memorable Linfield tennis experience for me was our first home match on our courts here at Linfield. The girls were so excited to be the very first ones to set foot on these beautiful new courts!
