MEET THE DIRECTOR
Greetings from the Development Office and Welcome to the Family!
Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Randy Wikert, and I am the Director of Development and Alumni Relations at Linfield Christian School. I have been happily married to my high school sweetheart, Pam, for 30 years. Both of my children attended Linfield Christian School. I am proud to say that both Mindy (age 30) and Ryan (age 27) are college graduates, which can be directly attributed to the education they received here. Mindy is a Registered Nurse, just like her mother, and Ryan is a UCLA graduate working as an appraiser. Personally, I love all sports, and I am a big Linfield Lion fan. Go Lions! My new hobby is “wagon rides” with my grandchildren Hailey, Aubrey and Kinzie.
My background is that of a Pastor and Bible teacher. I am proud to have been affiliated with the Linfield Christian School family for more than 10 years. I also taught Bible and coached several sports at the school in the nineties. So, as you can see, I am intimately acquainted with the school both as a parent and an employee. I fondly remember being a new parent excited for my children as they venture into a new place in their young lives. I trust and pray that you will truly enjoy your “Linfield Experience” just as my wife and I did.
As administrators, we truly believe that God is doing something special in our midst here at Linfield Christian School. We want you to know that we take our mission to partner with you, the parents, very seriously. Our children deserve the very best. One of our desires is to provide the very best environment for learning.
What we do:
The Development Office is primarily responsible for raising funds to provide a stimulating learning environment with state-of-the-art facilities for our students and teachers. Through our Annual Fund, Fall Golf Tournament, and Spring Benefit Auction, we are able to supply funds for technology upgrades, the purchase of athletic equipment, and teacher salary augmentations, as well as new buildings and campus improvements through our Capital Campaign.
Who supports us:
Linfield is supported by individual donors, local businesses, and foundations that believe in the worthy cause of training up our future leaders. We have received cash gifts, trust funds, stock options, real estate, and deferred gifts such as life insurance and will planning. Our donors are parents, alumni, and even people who have never been on campus, but are excited by God’s purpose for Linfield and want to give.
A bright future:
Our plans for the future are very big. We have formulated a Master Plan for facility expansion that will cover several years and require millions of dollars. But we believe that we serve a very big God who has already taken a vested interest in the school. We have seen His guidance and direction in the past, and we are asking Him to provide the resources and leadership to continue to mold Linfield Christian School into what He wants. Our prayer is to ask God to do something here at His school that only He can do.
We are currently tackling several smaller but very important capital improvement projects including an amphitheatre and a new fitness center for our athletes, drama & dance, and elementary students. I would love to share with you the plans for these future projects and more.
Please contact me if you have any questions, even if they are not related directly to the Development Department. I am committed to helping each family feel welcome and part of this wonderful place. We want you to become a vital part of our Linfield family.
I can be reached at (951) 676-8111 ext 1413 or via e-mail at rwikert@linfield.com
Looking forward to visiting with you soon.
His & Yours,
Randy Wikert
Director of Development and Alumni Relations
