MEET THE DIRECTOR
Greetings! My name is Tammy Whitfield, and I am blessed to serve in the role as Director of Development and Alumni Relations. I am so honored to be a part of the Linfield Family for these past seven years, first as a parent and now as the Director. I am personally looking forward to meeting you soon!
Briefly, I would like to share with you how special Linfield is to me and how the Lord touched my life in a very personal way through the school. Several years ago I made the decision to place my children at Linfield because it had the best college preparatory education the valley had to offer. After a visit and tour of the school, I was overcome with a peace and knew it would be the right decision to place them in Linfield’s care. I knew then that I wanted the “Linfield Values” for my children. It would be years later that I would realize that God had abundantly more in store for my family through this magnificent place. Looking back, I still find it hard to comprehend how big of an impact the faculty and staff had on my children and their personal journeys.
From the very beginning my children were encouraged by faculty and staff to know who Jesus Christ is as Lord and Savior. They were nurtured (and still are today in the high school) to grow in knowledge and skill in their academic classes as well as empowered with His Truth through Bible classes. Seeing a miraculous change in their lives as middle school students, God worked a miracle in my heart for Him and for His school. I am truly grateful.
It is not just an education, it’s the opportunity to change lives and have the hope only Jesus can give. Whether it is a quiet moment spent praying with a beloved teacher or a mountain top experience at Winter Mountain Seminar, God’s sovereignty can be found all over this campus for those who choose to be a part of it. Since their start in sixth grade, my children and my family have had several defining moments in this amazing place. I am so thankful to God everyday for this school and the power He continues to work in and through the lives at Linfield Christian School.
