Linfield will be offering multiple youth drama camps designed to kick-start your career in the spotlight or simply expose you to the wondrous arts of the stage. Directing mother-son team Jennifer and Kendall Lloyd will help you gain confidence as a performer and advance your skills in acting, singing, and dancing.
Jennifer Lloyd currently teaches Theater at Linfield and has been directing student productions for the last 20 years. While she holds a degree in both Education and Organizational Studies, her first love has always been the theater. She enjoys seeing how students respond to the teaching presented through the production process. Jennifer feels that the importance of life skills and gaining confidence through the various components of performance changes young lives and encourages students to follow their dreams. She has also been involved in many acting roles with Christian Youth Theater, but she takes the most pleasure in the challenges of directing.
After earning a BA in Theater from California Baptist University, Kendall Lloyd found his place as instructor of Speech and Debate at LCS. He has been acting for most of his life and began directing summer theater arts camps seven years ago through several youth theater programs. He also spends time teaching theater classes and directing local theater productions for Christian Youth Theater.

Come be apart of the most exciting performance of the season! Linfield Christian School is delighted to offer a summer theater camp for the first time. This two-week long Advanced Theater Camp will give students an opportunity to work with gifted young talents who have experience in acting, dancing and singing. Each one of our coaches possess a degree in music and/or theater, along with the needed experience and skills to work with young people in a theater camp environment.
Each day will provide intense theatrical training for campers and will take the entire group through the process of creating, from start to finish, the musical production Godspell. Along with drama, dance, and voice instruction, every day will include games, sports, and team competitions to create a high-energy atmosphere that emphasizes the importance of teamwork.
Included with the price of the camp, each person will receive a camp T-shirt and a DVD of the final production and camp highlights. Dinner will be served before the opening night performance for all campers. The camp day begins at 9:00 a.m. sharp and finishes at 5:00 p.m. with the exception of the last Friday when dress rehearsal will last until the 8:00 p.m. production. There will also be a Saturday evening performance to allow more family and friends to join the fun.

Linfield Christian School proudly hosts Disney on Broadway theater day camp open to all youth ages 6 to 11. This one week camp is from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. daily. The campers will be immersed in practice leading up to a Friday evening show that will feature some of the most popular Disney songs on Broadway. Talented teachers with degrees in music and theater will be instructing the campers on how to present a quality performance. Along with intense daily training, there will be art activities, games and team events to promote the importance of team work and give each camper the opportunity to excel. There will also be themed dress up days and camp competitions, along with a special water game day. A camp T-shirt and a Pizza Day are included in the price of the camp. DVD’s of camp highlights and the final show will be available for an extra fee.
