Parents of Seniors:
It’s hard to believe that your students are seniors in High School but since they are, we have a busy few months ahead of us! In Senior Seminar, I will work with each of your students on college applications, essays, scholarship applications, résumés, and all the other tasks at hand for applying to college. Your student took a personality assessment, and also a major and career match. Ask your student about their personality type and some of the jobs/majors that seem to match their strengths. We will continue to use this information as we refine their list of colleges.
If you haven’t had a chance to check out the new counseling office, come on by! It is in a great location. It’s wonderful to be near the students and be easily accessible!
As part of the Senior Seminar course, I will be bringing the students into my office and we will be completing their applications together. This will ensure that students don’t make any mistakes in filling out the online applications which can be surprisingly tricky.
