Juniors and Parents of Juniors:
The Princeton review will be offering a mock SAT and ACT on Linfield’s campus so students can get an idea of how they will do on each test without having an official score on their record. Students can take both the practice SAT and ACT and the full-length practice tests will be scored by the Princeton review and scores will be given back at an evening event where a representative from the Princeton Review will interpret the scores and give student helpful tips for improving their score.
This is an incredibly valuable tool that is available only to our students. I recommend that students take both the SAT and ACT to see which test they ‘like’ better and on which test they are more successful.
Once we have the test scores back, I would like to meet with you and your student to use these practice test results as a starting point for creating a “testing plan and timeline” personalized for your student.
The cost is $5.00 (per test) and the test will be held in the High School. Sign-up forms are available in the counseling office.
Additionally, in December, your students will attend the 3rd annual “Junior Seminar”. This week long event will focus on graduation and college admission requirements. Students will get information about testing timeline, college admission procedures and other useful information as they prepare for college.
