INTERNATIONAL ADMISSIONS

Linfield Christian School welcomes diploma-seeking F-1 international students to our school. Recent international students have attended Linfield from South Korea, Germany, China, and Vietnam.  Linfield Christian School is a K-12, co educational, college-preparatory school that exists to challenge boys and girls and young men and women to:

  • Love others as themselves,
  • Grow in knowledge and skill in order that they may serve the Lord and the world through their character and leadership.

Students receive Christian Worldview and character development opportunities from participation in bible courses, weekly chapels, and missions & community service outreaches.

  • Accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) in grades  K-12

ACADEMIC PROGRAM
Linfield offers students:

  • A rigorous academic college-preparatory program, meeting the University of California entrance requirements
  • English language development emphasizing cognitive language proficiency in understanding literature, analytical writing, and critical thinking.  (English Shelter 1 and 2, Academic Seminar and Language Lab)
  • Coursework in the areas of mathematics, social studies, sciences, foreign language and fine arts

ADVANCED COURSEWORK
Honors and Advanced Placement coursework is available to high school students who have completed the appropriate prerequisites and have the recommendation of the faculty.  Enrollment in advanced courses is selective, and is not available to all students.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE DEVELOPMENT
The International Student Program at Linfield Christian High School provides students with quality instruction in English language acquisition imperative for success in Linfield’s rigorous college preparatory program. The program is designed to help students improve their English proficiency in academic knowledge and skills in specific subject content areas. In conjunction with daily instruction in English reading, writing, comprehension, and vocabulary skills; the program emphasizes higher level academic language proficiency in critical thinking and analytical reading and writing skills. Small class sizes and individual tutoring foster ready progress in students’ individual language abilities.  Courses include: English I Shelter & English II Shelter (CREDIT: UC approved courses; each counts as 1 year of English credit), Academic Seminar, and Language Lab.

STUDENT LIFE & ACTIVITIES

Fine Arts Academy:

Students may participate in Wind Ensemble (Concert Band, Jazz Band, Orchestra Pit), Performing Arts (Theater performances) and Visual Arts (Art, Photography, Film Production).

Athletic Distinction:

Linfield competes with athletic teams in the California Interscholastic Federation. Offerings include varsity or junior varsity level in football, cross-country, volleyball, tennis, cheerleading, soccer, basketball, baseball, softball, golf, track, and equestrian.  CIF Championship teams include: Football (2009) and Girls Tennis (2010).

Missions and Service:

Students will have the opportunity to serve others in the local community through clubs or Bible classes.  Past opportunities include trips to Mexico and Haiti.

Co-Curricular:

Students may participate in student government (ASB), clubs, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and field trips to Europe.  Dances and other student events are available throughout the school year.

Located in Temecula, a city of over 100,000 people in Riverside County, Linfield Christian School is midway between San Diego, 57 miles to the south and Los Angeles, 76 miles to the northwest.  Residents of the Temecula Valley enjoy the scenic landscape, a temperate climate, and the proximity of beaches and snow-capped mountains 45 to 90 minutes away.

CAMPUS

The 100-acre campus, nestled among mature trees, rolling hills and a man-made lake, provides a spacious, open environment.  Our state-of-the-art High School building is equipped with SMART® technology in every classroom.  Additionally, we have added the Blanchard Tennis Pavilion and stadium seating to our Fox Fields.  The athletic fields in conjunction with campus-wide upgrades and improvements provide an unparalleled setting for students' learning and growing.
