Please join us outside on the High School Plaza on Friday, May 18 at 6:30 p.m. for Music Under the Stars! We will be celebrating the music of John Williams – a man who has literally written a significant part of the soundtrack of our culture, spanning generations, social groups, and even the world. Mr. Williams composed the music for Indiana Jones, E.T., Harry Potter, Jaws, Jurassic Park, of course STAR WARS, and many other films.
Everyone is welcome (in costume if you want!) for food, fun, and fantastic music featuring Linfield’s Elementary, Middle and High School Performing Arts students. There will also be a gallery of student art.
In the past five years, this event has raised nearly $70,000 towards meaningful equipment/upgrades for the Fine Arts Department. This year we are raising money for exterior upgrades and the beautification of the “Culter Living Arts Quarter,” the buildings which house the Band Room, Media Lab, STEAM Lab, ASB, the Board Room, and the Fine Arts Academy office. Upgrades will include signage and an area map to help visitors find the rooms they are looking for; we also want to add outside seating/congregating areas for student interaction and community building.
Lawn seating is free, but there are also table and meal options available for purchase.
*Note – the last day to purchase a meal/table option is Wednesday, May 16.
