From Spirit Week and Color Wars to The Great Race, Homecoming is so much more than just a football game at Linfield; it is always one of the highlights of the year!
The theme this year is Sponsored By, and high school students will demonstrate their class pride by participating in class competitions and dressing up according to the week’s theme.
This year’s dress-up days are as follows:
- Monday, March 22 – LEVI (dress in flannel shirts & jeans)
- Tuesday, March 23 – ADIDAS (dress in sports gear/team shirts, etc.)
- Wednesday, March 24 – MY PILLOW (dress in pajamas)
- Thursday, March 25 – DISNEY (dress as characters from Disney, Star Wars, Marvel, Pixar)
- Friday, March 26 – CRAYOLA (dress in class colors)
Please remember: All Linfield modesty rules still apply. Please consult the LCHS Parent/Student Handbook for dress & modesty guidelines.
Students will decorate their hallways for Color Wars on Sunday, March 21. Remember: A class adviser must be present, and you must use painter’s tape. Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors are decorating from 1:00-3:00 p.m.; Seniors are decorating from 3:15-5:15 p.m.
The Great Race
On Friday, March 26, students will get decked out in their class colors and compete in a variety of preliminary events before participating in the Great Race, one of Linfield’s favorite annual traditions, to determine the winner of Spirit Week. *Note – this is a minimum day for HS students.
