Applications for the Class of 2022 must be submitted by March 1, 2020.
The Linfield Engineering Academy is a 4-year high school program that partners with Project Lead the Way to prepare students for college level engineering programs through academic courses, real world experience and a final capstone project. It requires involvement outside of the school day, volunteer hours, club and honor societies involvement, internship hours (usually the summer between junior and senior year) and a capstone project that is worked on after school and weekends with an advisor during their senior year. By submitting this application, you are expressing your intent to complete all requirements of the Academy. Application to this program does not guarantee admittance. This application, a personal interview, past academic performance review and consultation with the counseling office and your current engineering, math, and science teachers will all be factors in deciding to program admittance. Students in the Class of 2022 and beyond are invited to apply.
Each applicant is required to obtain 2 references: one academic reference from a teacher at Linfield in either Science, Math, or Engineering and one personal reference from another non-family member source (couch, mentor, pastor, etc.). The reference forms must be completed and turned in no later than March 1st.
