MS/HS Final Exams & Check Out Information

High School Final Exams:

HS Second Semester Final Exams will be held from May 28-31, 2019. School will be dismissed at 12:00 p.m. each day (HS only), and students must be in uniform to take their finals.

Remember that final exams will be given according to subject this year. All exams will be given on the following days and times, and there is no provision for exams to be given early:

Tuesday, May 28 

  • 8:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. – LOTE (Foreign Language)
  • 10:30 a.m – 12:00 p.m. – History

Wednesday, May 29

  • 8:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. – English
  • 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – Math

Thursday, May 30

  • 8:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. – Science
  • 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – Bible

Friday, May 31

  • 8:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m – Art / Film / Engineering
  • 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – Bio Med & Band

*Note – Students are not required to be on campus when they do not have a final exam scheduled.

*Seniors – A mandatory Graduation Rehearsal will be held on Wednesday, May 29 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at The Bridge. Wear your college t-shirts/sweatshirts!

High School Check-Out Process:

Seniors
May 28  – 12:00 p.m.- 2:00 p.m.
May 29 – 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
All seniors must complete the check-out process completely in order to participate in ANY graduation activities. This includes visits to Athletics, the Library, the Business Office, and the Counseling Office in addition to a Locker and Christian Service Hours check.

Seniors: Please note that your Linfield Google Drive account will be deleted after graduation. If there is anything you would like to keep, make sure to move it to a private Google account. Also remember that if you rented textbooks from Follett, you must return them ASAP.

Underclassmen:
May 29 – 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
May 30 – 12:00 p.m. -2:00 p.m.
All freshmen, sophomores, and juniors must complete the check-out process (including visits to Athletics, the Library, and the Business Office in addition to a Locker and Christian Service Hours check) sometime on Wednesday, May 29 and Thursday, May 30 (during the assigned hours). Students must be cleared in all areas or their final report card will be withheld, and they will not be allowed to register for the 2019-2020 school year. Check-out forms must be returned to Mrs. Hilling in order to complete this process. If you have any questions, please contact her at 951-676-8111 x.3300.

Textbook Rentals: Remember that if you rented textbooks from Follett, you must return them by June 12. They will e-mail you directly or you can check the Follett website for rental return instructions.

Remember: All students are required to volunteer for a minimum of twenty documented hours of service for each Linfield school year attended. Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors: this annual requirement must be met in order to receive a current report card for grade completion and to select courses for the following school year.


Middle School Final Exams:

Middle School Final Exams will be administered the last week of school according to the following schedule:

Tuesday, May 28: Block 1 – 8:30 – 10:00 a.m. | Block 2 – 10:30 – 12:00 p.m.
Wednesday, May 29:  Block 3 – 8:30 – 10:00 a.m. | Block 4 – 10:30 – 12:00 p.m.
Thursday, May 30: Block 5 – 8:30 – 10:00 a.m. | Block 6 – 10:30 – 12:00 p.m. (8th Grade Rehearsal – see note below)
Friday, May 31:  Block 7 – 8:30 – 10:00 a.m. | Make-ups (by appointment with teacher only)

  • There will be no finals for Bible, P.E. or electives.

8th Grade Promotion Rehearsal:
Thursday, May 30: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Parents please pickup your child from the gym at 12:00 p.m.

Middle School Check-Out Process & Textbook Return

Students will clean out P.E. lockers during the week of May 20 By the end of that week, the only items students should have in their lockers are review materials and textbooks.  They will use their textbooks to study for finals and then leave their textbooks in each classroom as they complete their final exams.
