As you may have heard, Riverside County’s public health officer recently ordered all schools in our region to extend school closures until April 30 in order to further limit the spread of the Coronavirus. While we were hoping to resume normal school operations after the upcoming Easter Break, this shift will delay the reopening of our physical campus by a little more than two weeks. Please know that we are still monitoring the situation closely, and we will continue to keep you updated as additional information becomes available.

This is an unprecedented and unexpected season, and our primary goal is to protect the health and wellbeing of our community while still actively engaging students and minimizing disruption to the learning process. But we also want to continue to promote spiritual growth and to cultivate the deep relationships that make up the heart and soul of our school. In a moment like this, with all of us separated in our own homes, this seems like a tall order.

But we serve a big God.

There is no doubt in my mind that God has brought us together as a Linfield family, in this time and in this place, to love and support one another through this crisis. We know that many of you are facing uncertainty, anxiety, financial hardship, and health concerns, and we just want you to know that we are in this with you and that we will get through this together, as a family. The next few weeks may be stressful, but it is my prayer that we will find ways to extend an extra dose of grace and to be the light of Christ to the people around us. I’m so grateful for the stories I’ve heard about the kindness and generosity many of you are already demonstrating toward others in our community. Thank you. Let’s all continue to work together as the body of Christ to take care of the needs of our students, families, and school.

I am praying daily for your family’s protection and for healing to all who are affected by this virus. Remember that none of us are alone, so please let us know if there is anything we can do to support you and your family.

In His Service,
