We are excited to continue the tradition of honoring our veterans in a special HS Veterans’ Day assembly on Wednesday, November 10 from 9:30-11:00 a.m.
As a Christian school we desire to accomplish two significant goals on this day:
Goal 1: Recognize and honor those who serve or have served as part of our military.
Goal 2: Teach our students the significance of the celebration of Veterans’ Day.
Unfortunately, our gym/chapel space limits attendance to High School ONLY. However, in an effort to do this as a Linfield family, we ask that you consider participating in the following ways:
ASSEMBLY ATTENDANCE & NAME RECOGNITION
- If you are a veteran or have a family member you would like to honor, we would be honored to have them ATTEND the chapel AND/OR DISPLAY their name on our Power Point tribute. These names will scroll during the chapel service.
- If the veteran is ABLE to attend, they are encouraged to attend in uniform (if they so desire). We will have a special time of introduction as we welcome and honor them. We have reserved 30 seats in a designated section for this purpose.
- We ask that each veteran RSVP no later than by Friday, October 22 in order to help us plan for this special seating. Please arrive at the HS Gym no later than 9:00 a.m. If you want to honor a veteran who cannot attend, you may also send in information for the tribute.
Note: Even if you have submitted information in previous years, we ask that you please resubmit this year as we are using a new form and want to ensure that every detail is correct. Thank you!
It is our desire to continue a tradition of honoring our veterans that will impact our students and instill in them a gratitude for the freedoms they enjoy. Thank you in advance for your help and participation. If you have any questions, please contact Gay Bennett at firstname.lastname@example.org.
