Strategic Areas of Focus

Invite

Invite students and families into a Christ-centered community

Goal: Foster a Christ-centered community in which people are known, loved, and valued

We invite students, families, faculty, and staff to begin a journey with us and to experience everything Linfield has to offer. Specifically, by strengthening effective admissions and hiring processes, we aim to create a welcoming campus community that reflects the love of Christ.

Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. - Matthew 28:19

Inspire

Spark curiosity and inspire a love of learning as students explore their passions and discover their God-given gifts through meaningful engagement

Goal: Partner with students as they learn and grow in their identity in Christ.

We seek to inspire students to engage with their individual interests and to think creatively, and as they do so, we aim to cultivate within them a love of learning and a growth mindset, one that encourages them to take risks, learn from their mistakes, and improve their skills. Ultimately, by providing a safe environment where they are challenged to search for truth and to ask tough questions with the guidance and support of nurturing teachers and coaches, we pray that each student will develop a relationship with Christ that transforms their heart and mind and inspires them to use their unique God-given identity to serve Him and others.

Discover creative ways to encourage others and to motivate them toward acts of compassion, doing beautiful works as expressions of love. - Hebrews 10:24

Individualize

Individualize student experiences in order to provide opportunities for them to develop and apply their strengths and passions

Goal: Develop systems, differentiate instruction, and strengthen teaching strategies in order to support students’ individual needs.

Because we believe it is important to meet each student where they are, we work with parents to individualize the learning process, providing support and enrichment. Our goal is to cultivate an educational community in which students feel safe to ask for help and feel encouraged to become learners who are risk takers. As a school, we are also fully committed to our own growth and development, and we work hard to continually strengthen curriculum, systems, and teaching practices in ways that will best support our students.

I will give thanks to You, because I am awesomely and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well. - Psalm 139:14

Innovate

Engage in relevant experiences by utilizing innovative resources, methods, and practices

Goal: Harness and allocate resources to ensure that learning is relevant and engaging.

We understand that to meet the needs of 21st century learners, we must continuously innovate, and we are committed to developing programs and providing real-world experiences that will not only engage our students’ intellect and creativity, but also prepare them for the future.

God’s marvelous grace imparts to each one of us varying gifts. - Romans 12:6

Invest

Provide opportunities for our community to invest time, talent, expertise, and resources to impact Linfield Christian School today and into the future

Goal: Partner with students and families to promote good stewardship through generosity and service.

This is something that can not be achieved individually; it will require a collective effort with each of us contributing valuable time, talent, and resources. But as we prayerfully invest in our students, teachers, programs, grounds, and facilities, and as we continue to equip and empower our leadership to be the best it can be, we have a unique opportunity to build upon Linfield’s strong foundation and to pursue our school’s worthy mission - inspiring students to be world-changers in the Kingdom of God.

You will be abundantly enriched in every way as you give generously on every occasion, for when we take your gifts to those in need, it causes many to give thanks to God. - 2 Corinthians 9:11

Influence

Launch students into an ever-changing world to impact and influence with integrity and Christ-like character

Goal: Equip students to lead and serve their families, their churches, their communities, and their world

Within our intentionally relational community, students are presented with a variety of opportunities to be mentored and discipled by teachers and coaches, to learn what it means to be a leader, to develop deep friendships, and to serve through local projects and mission trips. It is our hope that these experiences will inspire students to recognize that they can influence and change people’s lives for the better. We pray that our graduates will step into the future confidently, equipped with the knowledge they have gained and empowered by an understanding of their own unique gifts and talents, and that in whatever they choose to do - in their occupations, families, churches, and communities - they will pierce the darkness of the world with the light of Christ and live out Linfield’s mission by choosing to love and serve others.

So don’t hide your light! Let it shine brightly before others, so that your commendable works will shine as light upon them, and then they will give their praise to your Father in heaven. - Matthew 5:16
