Congratulations to Lilla Petrykowski, Linfield’s November Student of the Month! In her six years on our campus, Lilla has made an extraordinary impact within our community through her joyful spirit, bold faith, and commitment to excellence. She is a talented four year varsity athlete on our Cross Country & Track & Field teams (serving as team captain in both sports), and she is known for her disciplined work ethic and for the way she encourages her teammates. Lilla also currently serves as the vice-president of Student Ambassadors; she is a member of four honor societies and a LINK leader, and she is a leader of the Active Faith Bible study. Outside of school, she also balances a job at Orangetheory Fitness and faithfully serves as a children’s ministry teacher at North Coast Church.
Lilla is a remarkable student who has excelled in the midst of a rigorous academic course load and who has earned departmental awards in a wide variety of subjects. She is a particularly insightful writer! She is intellectually curious and internally motivated, someone who earnestly strives to understand and grow. But perhaps most importantly, Lilla is known for the beauty of her spirit and the strength of her character. Whether she is on the track, in the classroom, or serving in ministry, she is an optimistic and encouraging force for good in the lives of everyone she meets. She is intentionally relational, and she walks in humility and compassion as she serves Jesus Christ boldly with her whole heart.
Lilla shares, "What I love most about Linfield is how much everyone genuinely cares about one another and displays the love of Jesus through their actions. Especially among my senior class, I have witnessed how we continuously support each other at our sporting events, musicals, and so much more. I have also experienced love and support from every single one of my teachers here, which is truly such an inspiration. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunities and support I have been given. Above all else, I am especially grateful for how I have witnessed God's faithfulness in my life at Linfield."
Lilla is truly exceptional, and she brings the light and love of Jesus to our campus each and every day. We are so excited to celebrate her this month! She will also be honored by the Temecula Chamber of Commerce, city officials, and local sponsors at a special breakfast.
