Nate Franks

Class of 2018
After graduating from Linfield in 2018, Nate began studying Mechanical Engineering at California Maritime Academy, but after four semesters, he decided to change course and become a firefighter. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Wildland Fire Science from Cal State San Marcos and completed EMT school, the fire academy, and paramedic school; he currently works for the Encinitas Fire Department as a firefighter and paramedic. Nate met his wife Brianna (DiPierro - Class of 2018) at Linfield when they were in the 8th grade, and they got married in 2022! They are involved at North Coast Church in Vista, and Nate enjoys running, playing soccer, and hiking in his free time. When he thinks back on his years at Linfield, Nate is most grateful for the Mexico mission trips he was able to take because of the way they gave him perspective, taught him about other cultures, allowed him to bond with his friends, and provided an opportunity to serve. He also says, “Linfield gave me a firm foundation of biblical knowledge and helped me understand what it means to have an intimate relationship with the Lord. It also taught me the importance of relationships in my life. In fact, most of my closest friends to this day are my former classmates. Four out of my six groomsmen were Linfield alumni!”
