Charlie Russell

After graduating from Linfield in 2018, Charlie Russell studied Bible and Theology at Multnomah University in Portland and then moved back to Southern California and became a teacher. He is currently working on a master’s degree in English while teaching Bible, Spanish, and Drama to middle and high school students, and he gets to direct the school musical every year! This is a fitting role for Charlie who was, of course, a brilliant performer in Linfield’s theater program. In his free time, he plays the piano at church, writes songs, and teaches music lessons. Charlie’s favorite Linfield memory is from participating in the epic lip sync competition during Homecoming Week, and he is beyond thankful for how this community encouraged his spiritual, emotional, and academic growth. He says, “Linfield’s teachers always supported my passion for music and the Bible, and I was so encouraged by the friendships I developed in my theater classes and through all of our performances.”
