Boyer Family

Mark and Liz Boyer learned about Linfield from a family friend in the midst of COVID uncertainty in 2020 and decided to send their four children - Mackenzie (Class of 2026), Paige (12th), Abby (10th), and Jackson (9th) - because they were excited about the opportunity to partner with a school in raising their children to love Jesus and serve the world.

In their own words, here’s how they describe their Linfield experience:

All of our kids have grown incredibly over the past six years. They each have their own unique stories and memories, and our family loves calling LInfield our second home. Mackenzie was involved in tennis, flag football, soccer, track, and theatre. She had coaches and teachers pour into her as she developed her athletic and academic abilities and grew in her love for the Lord, and she has been well-prepared for college. Paige has grown tremendously as a volleyball player. She is a diligent student who loves learning, and she is also very artistic and creative. Jackson does not remember life before Linfield; he is excelling in every class, trying every sport, and serving his friends and others. The biggest impact we have seen in our family is in Abby; she is a loving and responsible girl, but she struggled academically in the public school system because she wasn’t a “problem child” and could never get access to the resources she deserved. But as soon as she got to Linfield, she was seen. She is now thriving academically in all her classes, and she is super involved in athletics and theatre. It is such a blessing to see how all four of our children love Jesus and seek to honor and serve Him, not only at school but in their community, and we are so grateful for the opportunity to be part of the Lion family.
