Brenier Family

As they prayed about where to send their oldest son for high school, Jason and Katelyn Brenier looked at Linfield and fell in love with the mission of the school. They came from a public school background and were blessed with great teachers and experiences there, but they felt like God was calling them to try something different. At the time, they weren’t sure how they would like it, but they have loved it so much that they are now praying and waiting for God’s timing to enroll all eight of their children! Their oldest son, Jase, graduated in 2026, but they currently have three attending - Aly (11th), Jack (9th), and Luke (7th), and they hope to soon bring Drew (5th), Lexie (3rd), Nate (1st), and Brad (Kindergarten). They note how unique and beautiful the community of students, faculty, and staff has been and how blessed they feel to be a part of it. 

In her own words, here’s how Katelyn Brenier describes their family’s Linfield experience:

We are so grateful for the Linfield community. To feel “seen” in this big world is such a gift, and we love that our children are able to experience this daily in their formative years. I recently had a conversation with a Linfield staff member about being able to feel the presence of the Holy Spirit here, and we both agreed there is something special about being on Linfield's campus. It’s because God is real, and the Linfield staff surrounding my children know it and live it. It’s beautiful! For example, my 8th grader got injured in a middle school football game, and I found out later that while everyone “took a knee,” the staff surrounded him on the field and prayed over him. That was an instant reminder of “Why Linfield.” You simply can’t put a price tag on that. My oldest was on the Varsity Football team, and we had our family pray out to end the season (his senior season).  It was a rough CIF loss in a super close rainy game, but I was brought to tears as I listened to the coach talk about the growth in that locker room after the game; he picked those boys up and put them back together just the same way he did all season long. Even though we are a baseball family, now I want ALL my boys to play football so they can experience that.  Our oldest daughter is a junior and has been cheering at Linfield since middle school, and her coaches and teachers have always poured into her, loved her, and helped her see herself the way the Lord does. I could obviously go on and on, but I’ll close with the image that is my favorite during winter/spring - watching our boys pitch on the mound of the Linfield baseball field with the cross on the hill behind them. This image really sums up our community. The Lord is at the center, not sprinkled on top or an afterthought, but truly at the center. The mission of Linfield - to inspire students to know Jesus Christ as Lord, to love others as themselves, and to grow in knowledge and skill -  is truly being lived out on campus. We are so thankful to send our children here, and when you have eight kids, that’s saying something! It’s a surreal moment as our oldest is about to begin college, but what a gift it is to know he is so well prepared, not only academically, but also in his character. He has had so many opportunities to grow in knowledge as well as in leadership skills. This is why we know we want to continue to send all our children through Linfield and why we are so thankful God opened the door to trust Him and walk with Him in the process nearly five years ago.
