Angel Anton grew up in Temecula and knew of Linfield as a highly esteemed school. In fact, as the owner of ABC Child Care Center, she often fielded questions about next steps from her families, so she did her research and embarked on numerous school tours over the years in order to accurately recommend schools that aligned with each family’s preferences. When she toured Linfield, our community made a profound impact on her, so when she and her husband, Shawn, had children of their own, they knew exactly where they wanted them to attend school. Their daughter Havi is currently in 5th grade, and their son Nate is in 2nd grade, and in their own words, here’s how they describe their Linfield experience:
From the moment we stepped onto campus, we knew Linfield was something special. Our first experience was a student-led tour, and we were immediately struck by the pride, maturity, and character of the young girl showing us around. Seeing the fruit of Linfield’s values lived out so naturally in one of the students spoke louder than any brochure ever could.
The leadership at Linfield is exceptional and deeply impactful, beginning at the top with Marc Horton. The leaders’ wisdom, vision, and integrity clearly flow throughout the school community, from the Admissions Office with Holly Wilson to the day-to-day leadership of the incredible Elementary School principal, Mrs. Silvester. Their care, consistency, and commitment to excellence create an environment where families truly feel supported.
At the heart of Linfield, however, are the teachers. Mrs. Cole, Mrs. Logue, Mrs. P, and Mr. Varnell have poured into our children with intentionality, patience, and genuine love. Because of them, our children have flourished not only academically, but personally and spiritually. Linfield provides a nurturing, life-giving environment, and (most importantly to our family) a place where faith is central. Our children are becoming deeply rooted in their identity in Christ, growing in their love for Jesus, and developing a sincere hunger for God’s Word as they navigate the Bible in school.
As the owners of ABC Child Care, we had the unique privilege of walking alongside our children through their early childhood years, even bringing them with us into kindergarten. Having spent years hiring teachers and writing curriculum ourselves, finding a school that aligned with our values felt daunting. The moment we toured Linfield, however, that weight was lifted, and we knew we had found our home away from home. We wholeheartedly recommend Linfield to any family seeking an exceptional education within a nurturing, Christ-centered, and biblically grounded community.
