Kaylee Ryan

Class of 2020
After graduating from Linfield in 2020, Kaylee (Thompson) Ryan spent a year and a half at community college before transferring to Point Loma Nazarene University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She now works at PLNU in the Educational Access Center as the Accessibility Coordinator, supporting students with disabilities in higher education. Kaylee also recently got married; she and her husband are part of a house church in Escondido that is centered on discipleship, and Kaylee is actively involved in Mexico missions and regularly visits an orphanage in Rosarito and partners with Baja Bound to build houses for the working poor in Ensenada. Altogether, her work, faith, and devotion to service reflect her passion for walking alongside others and helping create spaces where people can thrive. This is a passion that was actually sparked within her at Linfield when Kaylee first attended a Mexico mission trip. She remembers how those trips pushed her outside of her comfort zone in the best way and opened her eyes to the joy and importance of serving others. Not only did this shape her faith, it also planted the seeds for the work and ministry she continues to be involved in today.

Kaylee says, “Linfield had a profound impact on my life, especially in shaping my walk with the Lord. Being surrounded by a small, Christ-centered community gave me the support and encouragement I needed to grow spiritually and personally. I am so grateful for the teachers, mentors, and friends who poured into me and modeled what it looks like to live out faith in everyday life. Through my time there, I not only discovered what I am passionate about, but also learned the importance of serving others with humility and compassion. Those lessons continue to shape who I am today, as I now have the privilege of walking alongside students and serving others in both my work and personal life. Looking back, I am most grateful for the way Linfield cultivated a foundation of faith and service that I carry with me.”
