Homecoming Week 2021

From Spirit Week and Color Wars to The Great Race, Homecoming is so much more than just a football game at Linfield; it is always one of the highlights of the year!

Spirit Week
The theme this year is Shoebox, and high school students will demonstrate their class pride by participating in class competitions and dressing up according to the week’s theme.

This year’s dress-up days are as follows:
  • Monday, September 27  – ADIDAS (dress in sports gear/team shirts, etc.)
  • Tuesday, September 28 – COWBOY BOOTS (dress in western attire)
  • Wednesday, September 29 – SLIPPERS (dress in pajamas)
  • Thursday, September 30 –  SKETCHERS TWINKLE TOES (dress in neon)
  • Friday, October 1 –  CONVERSE (dress in class colors)
Please remember: All Linfield modesty rules still apply. Please consult the LCHS Parent/Student Handbook for dress & modesty guidelines.

Color Wars
Students will decorate their hallways for Color Wars on Sunday, September 26. Remember: A class adviser must be present, and you must use painter’s tape. Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors are decorating from 2:00-4:00 p.m.; Seniors are decorating from 4:15-6:15 p.m.

The Great Race
On Friday, October 1, students will get decked out in their class colors and compete in a variety of preliminary events before participating in the Great Race, one of Linfield’s favorite annual traditions, to determine the winner of Spirit Week.

*Note – this is a minimum day for HS students (dismissed when the Great Race finishes- around 12:30). Parents: Unfortunately, we can not accommodate spectators at this time.

Varsity Football vs. Western Christian @ 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 1
Please make plans to come out to Fox Field and cheer on the Lions as they take on Western Christian on Friday, October 1 at 7:00 p.m.! We will also be announcing Homecoming Queen during halftime.

Linfield & Culter Alumni: We can't wait to welcome you back on campus for the annual Homecoming Alumni event during the Varsity Football game on Friday, October 1 at 7:00 p.m. There will be desserts! An RSVP is helpful (but not required), so if possible, please send your name and number of guests by Wednesday, September 29 to development@linfield.com
