Aubrie Burke

Class of of 2012
Aubrie graduated from Linfield as part of the Class of 2012, and after two years at Palomar College, she transferred to Azusa Pacific University where she majored in Communication Studies with a minor in leadership. Her college internship at Moms in Prayer International turned into a full-time job after graduation; Aubrie served as the Social Media Coordinator and Content Contributor and recently stepped into the Brand Manager role. This platform has also led to opportunities for speaking at conferences, writing a prayer journal and even filming a Bible study video series! Aubrie has been highly involved in her church, volunteering with junior high and high school ministries, serving with a prayer and women's ministry, and attending mission trips to the Philippines and China.

Her favorite Linfield memory centers on Winter Mountain 2012 because Aubrie and her friends spent many weeks leading up to the trip in deep prayer for faculty, staff, and students, asking God to do something amazing, and in a beautiful answer to prayer, on the last night of the trip, the school witnessed a powerful and unprecedented revival of students rededicating their lives to Christ, giving their lives to Him for the first time, reconciling relationships with one another, and praying for each other. After Winter Mountain, Aubrie and her friends even started a weekly student-led Bible study, one that continued for many years after they graduated. She says, "I am most grateful for the teachers and friendships I made at Linfield. They showed me the importance of community and building a strong foundation for my faith. It was a place where I was encouraged to develop a real relationship with Jesus on my own. There were so many teachers I could go to, not only to help me in my education, but also in my life and walk with Christ. Linfield also gave me opportunities to get involved in so many things I wouldn’t have been able to do at another high school. I participated in sports, ASB, and theatre, and I was so well-prepared for college."
